The S7-XP cuts mild steel to 5/16" thickness and to a depth of 2.25", cleanly cutting channel, angles, pipe and solids. Plastics and metals including mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel are cut as easy as plywood. When cutting wood, the vented cover must be used. The vented cover IS NOT to be used when cutting steel or aluminum.
